Pop Cam

It's been a while since I posted any of my photos on here, so I thought I'd change that!

This set was all taken on my Pop Cam. I bought mine from kitschretro on ebay, but you can also get it from IWOOT.

Just like regular Action Sampler cameras but with 4 coloured lenses, the Pop Cam is really easy to use and you can get some great results! I took mine to Brighton with me....

Diana F+ Review

My friends bought me a Diana F+ for my birthday back in January, but I've only just had the first film back. Oops!

I did find it really difficult to use though which was perhaps why I wasn't more keen to use it. I don't like how when you wind it on it doesn't stop on the next exposure like 35mm film cameras do, you have to keep your eye on it to make sure you don't wind too far. This is perhaps why I only got 4 photos out of the whole roll (two the same), as opposed to the 12 I was supposed to get!

I really like the look of the photos though so perhaps with more practice I'll get the hang of it! I just loaded another film, using the youtube video below for help, so I'll get using it soon.  I made a bit of a rookie mistake of putting the film in the wrong side of the camera, then wondered why it wasn't winding on! Fail.

Oh and in case you're interested I used Lomography Color Negative 120 film :)

Destruction

These photographs are from my most recent Flickr upload, and can also be seen over on my personal blog.

They were all taken with my Olympus Trip 35, using a Konica Centuria film that expired in 2001.

Intentional Light Leaks.

I just uploaded this set to my Flickr Photostream and my blog :)

I used my SuperHeadz Blue Ribbon and opened the back of the camera, very slightly and only for a split second, just to see what would happen. I was inspired by kelley f who used this technique for this amazing photo (also check out her feature for more) I love the results! Definitely a method I'm going to use more, especially as my Blue Ribbon seems to have given up on taking good photos while inside.

Most Recent Flickr Upload

I thought it was about time I feature some of my own photography on here, so here's my most recent flickr upload. Enjoy :)

(Please go to my Flickr to find out which cameras I used for each photo)

A Crappy Disposable Produced These

Actually uploading some of my own photos to here for a change :)

This set is from a crappy little disposable camera that I got from the 99p store. (You can see what they look like in the photo of my camera collection in this post) I love, love, love the grain in the cut trees photos. It's not very professional but I just really like film grain! And the end of roll burn in the first photo livens up what would be an otherwise dark and wasted photo of the forest. Disappointingly I only got about 8 photos back from this whole camera (of 24 exposures) so don't quite know what happened there :S

Anyone who reads my regular blog will know that my dad bought me a Praktica L2 for my birthday, and I got my first roll of film back today! (FYI, UK people, don't get your film developed at Jessops. They're so much more expensive than anywhere else and I only got half a film set back from one of my disposables :( ) Anyways, the Praktica works! Really good quality photos as well. A couple were out of focus (I like how you can focus this camera, although clearly I need more practice at this) and some were overexposed (again something you can fiddle with yourself) so a few more tries and I should be getting some great results from this camera!
I chose this particular photo to upload (I like to upload 5 a day and I already had 4 disposables) because of the light leak on the left, I think it adds a lovely finish to the photo :)
