Intentional Light Leaks.

I just uploaded this set to my Flickr Photostream and my blog :)

I used my SuperHeadz Blue Ribbon and opened the back of the camera, very slightly and only for a split second, just to see what would happen. I was inspired by kelley f who used this technique for this amazing photo (also check out her feature for more) I love the results! Definitely a method I'm going to use more, especially as my Blue Ribbon seems to have given up on taking good photos while inside.

  1. these are super awesome, a few questions:
    1. What kind of light were you in when you opened the back?
    2. What stock were you shooting on?
    3. Do you think that the extremely limited latitude of transparencies will lead to a different effect if i try this? Even if it's pretty slow (100D)?

    1. Thank you :)
      1. As you can sort of see it was a bit overcast in the outside shots, I didn't open the back in direct sunlight.
      2. Just regular Kodak ColorPlus film, 200 ISO, in date.
      3. I'm not an expert so I don't even know what that means! Sorry!
